About Caleb Reed
Caleb Reed publishes a mix of fiction and criticism.
The flagship project is Line & Verse, a serialized coming-of-age novel set at a conservative Southern college in the late 1990s, focused on belonging, secrecy, and first love. Alongside the novel are short essays on queer literature, film, and culture that frame the themes on the page. Occasionally Caleb shares personal stories and personal opinions on culture, healthcare, politics, or whatever pops into his mind.

About Line & Verse
Line & Verse is a serialized novel set at a conservative Southern college in the 1990s — a world of fraternity rituals, weekend tailgates, and unspoken truths.
At its center is Ethan Harris, a freshman trying to find his place in a culture where masculinity is performed loudly and difference is hidden. Through pledging, rituals, and late-night parties, Ethan finds himself drawn into brotherhood, loyalty, and a closeness he doesn’t yet have words for.
This is a story about belonging and becoming — about the moments that change you in ways you can’t yet name.
